current experience: kenya

Currently based in Nairobi, practicing design & user research in financial inclusion and education. My focus centers around economic development, market-based solutions, and service and experience design.

Before this, Los Angeles was the city where I found a sense of place, launching a human-centered design studio focused on challenges in our local community. And before that, I spent time living in Copenhagen, working on sustainable urbanisation research and an open data venture for citizen-centered urban planning. Since then, I've been exploring the intersection between the state, market, and civil society — specifically, how we might take greater ownership for our cities and communities.

The past 12 months have been somewhat nomadic, and perhaps in correlation, serendipitous. In other words — always game for good conversation with new people, especially over street tacos (or tea).
