Life in PICTURES

I find that photography is a practice of falling in love with the details, and the spirit of a place. It’s a kind of meditation, each time I slow down enough to notice, marvel, and focus the ring.

While many remain scattered across film rolls and hard drives, below are a few collections from these times.

The Top of Oswego Street

Ann Arbor

Rented a car out to Ann Arbor, to find the house where my grandfather lived in the 50’s. Some words and photos from along the way.

New Places, Staying Still

Delhi, Jaipur, Kochi, Alappuzha, Mumbai

A dose of wanderlust, and lessons in stillness, from the year of 2020.

Prints for Baliuag, Bulacan

Manila, Coron, Batad, Siquijor

A series of thank-you prints, as we fundraised to help communities recover from Typhoon Ulysses.

Life in Pictures

Nairobi, Kilifi, Mtito Andei (and Emasafu, Lamu, Oduwo some day …)

A journal of words and images from various corners of Kenya — to be updated with the rest, some day …

KBH Snapshots

Copenhagen

An early artifact of being awake in a new environment: taking time to dig through photos, think, and write.

Here & There

For the times when I’m not inspired or disciplined enough to edit a full set, Instagram is there.
